Meditation to Overcome Pain

When you feel pain, you go through a process of awakenings that tell your body what is going on and how to feel.  The afferent and efferent fiber signals to the brain that there is pain, where the pain is, and  bring alertness to the body to send healing, white blood cells and more to the area of pain. This brings about the inflammatory response that flushes the area out to clean it, and inspire great healing to the site.  From any trauma, such as a cut or a bruise, to arthritis and Fibromyalgia, pain can be acute (temporary), or chronic.  There are many modalities that help one to heal their pain, from taking pain killers such as Tylenol, or Advil, to using homeopathy such as Arnica Montana, or getting Acupuncture.  The goal to is find the best tool that works for you.

Meditation can help inspire the mind to overcome the ideas and feelings of pain and help one reach greater levels of healing even thought of in a text been in med school.  What if we can just think about pain differently, and build up our defenses to hold ourselves more than letting our pain dictate how we are.  Through relaxing, and first learning to relax, building a pattern of relaxing that comes to us regularly. one is able to reach the next step of mind balancing pain.  Pain is a physical symptom, but each person has a different pain tolerance level right? Throughout my life observations and my practice I have noticed that the level of pain tolerance usually grows and grows and grows when someone has chronic pain.  Now pain can be felt and observed as different builds of emotions as well. Is the site of pain red, inflamed, and angry, does that emotion reach the patient too?  When working with Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, we work on the physical pain as well as the emotions that build with the person having the condition.   When focusing on pain relieving meditation, see if you can tap into observing, (observing is a big part of premeditation, meditation, and post meditation) do you feel that your pain is surrounded by fear, fear of the unknown, of what is to come when there is arthritis in your pinky finger, is it going to spread? How do we stop it from hurting?  How does the first signs of arthritis get helped?  A great way is to observe the emotions of the pain and the emotions that come with the pain that is present. From there you can learn to train out the emotions, and fill yourself with with more love and healing.  Love overcomes all emotions overtime and in time.  To learn the right levels of love to build to overcome and help to heal the pain you are dealing with, if you are dealing with pain at all, or learning how to help heal another, know that love is the most important thing.

One's failing meditation can take around 10 minutes to 30 minutes where you focus on observing your self and you pain patters of emotions. The goal to is reach a level of understand and processing to make everything love, pain when turned into love heals faster thank pain that is filled with anger and emotional hurt hold.  Woah the hardest thing to think about until you realize that you, yourself are made of love, and no matter who or what comes into your life, your goal is to remember that you are love. So what is this pain that shows up sometimes?  Thats a deeper question for a meditation mind, and a meeting for one to have as well when they meditate.  You are smart, you can read this blog post, you have probably graduated high school. Somewhere in your old history text books there may be an answer that you read.  Soldiers in the battlefield protecting the country were able to overcome ridiculous trauma to get up and fight for the good of the country, for men and women, loved ones and strangers.  What can you build with your life to help you with your purpose to overcome your pain? Purpose is a huge plan that enables one to fight the good fight, push through and overcome for the greater good and more!  Keep on overcoming the pain and remember that you are love and are very loved!

Fresh food is so important for everyone to eat!  Local fresh food is the best, and organic if it is possible!  There are many different inspirations in picking what foods you eat and what you cook for your meals!  finding a good routine of planning out your meals for a month, and then meals for each season change is so important to make life easier.  This is a picture of the meal my Boyfriend Mike Masello and I cooked for dinner for my Father Sheldon Saferstein.  Both my Boyfriend and Father are Gluten Free, so we chose to make a Gluten Free Dairy Free Vegetable Lasagna. The "Cheese" is pureed cauliflower, and the sauce is pureed red pepper!  Lots of veggies means lots of super powers!  Please share your fun food inspirations below. :)

There are so many people out there who are handicap.  I was handicap when I was 15 years old.  I ended up getting Psoriatic Arthritis and Fibromyalgia.  Due to the heavy meds, I was homeschooled and after two years of my healing regime this way, it was introduced to Acupuncture.  It was AMAZING! after 6 months I was free of all pain and even showed the Drs. that I didn't need pain killers any more!  AMAZING!.  After about a year I was back in Public High School, and I even ran track.  It was amazing, the transformation, from every  point in my hand being red and swollen, to co problem at all!  It was absolutely a complete transformation!

From my transformation to another, I will share a little more about my Father who has MS, Multiple Sclerosis. He has had it for over 29 years and is now in a wheel chair for over 16 years.  He is doing well, having wonderful adventures in his wheelchair!  He is such an inspiration to me of always staying positive and feeling good no matter what happens in life. May he always have great days and enjoy be filled with love, light and happiness!

During the summer, especially the summer heat, the rain is such a great gift to meet. The relief is great even down to your feet. To cool off from the summer heat. Drink plenty of water and hydrate with fluids. In China they drink watermelon juice a lot, to clear the heat the summer has brought.
