Traditional Chinese Medicine Nutrition takes into account your mind, body and spirit when organizing the healthiest foods for you to eat. The practitioner first find the patient's constitutional type, and then studies their ailments. The goal is to find where the imbalances are, versus where the patient is strong and align the diet from there. For example if someone has allergies with sinus congestions, the practitioner would look at cold and damp foods to eliminate and incorporate pungent and astringent foods. The practitioner will then suggest a list of the foods and the best ways to cook the food items.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the practitioner looks at the whole body and its functioning, and would also include other conditions the person is experiencing as well, not just the allergy symptoms. For example a weak digestion, fatigue, does not feel rested when wakes up in the morning, to name a few. The practitioner's goal is to build a beautiful list of foods to enjoy and to help educate the patient about the foods as well. We look forward to building a strong nutrition program for you!
