Positivity is the Key.

Positivity is to be happy about an outcome no matter what.  It is to hold an up beat attitude, a healthy outlook, and an attractive demeanor. To be a positive person is to always look at the bright side of any situation.

Today only happens once, make it amazing! As you wake up you may use this phrase as your mantra, your saying.  It is wonderful to be aware that you are living your life, and no matter what, you are going to make it positive and amazing. What you do during your day after saying this phrase is up to you!  Living with healthy lifestyle choices is what I recommend, from drinking a glass of lemon water, to doing yoga or Tai Chi in the morning.

Drinking enough water throughout the day can change your energy levels.  Doing enough exercise throughout the day and week can change your energy levels as well.  When you have enough energy and a steady flow throughout the day, it is easy to be positive. A positive person smiles easily and carries themself well.

Positivity is something we strive for, it can make any situation achievable! We each go through many different encounters and processes in life.  Staying positive can make the tough encounters easier and more attainable. Whether its trying out for a part in a community play, to working on loosing 15lbs before Summer, staying positive throughout can win you big points with your happiness.

If your feeling like your going through something with your health that has made you less positive and its complicated your life, think about trying an in person acupuncture treatment, or a virtual guided acupressure session.  You can recommend these options to a friend and pass the positivity around. to learn more please visit Vivify Wellness at Avenues.

Gratitude

During the times that we are in with the Corona Virus Pandemic, we can look towards the emotion of gratitude to feel connected and stronger about where to be.  Gratitude towards someone or something can bring more fulfillment to one's day and to their life.  There are so many people and things to be grateful for, from the grocery store workers, to the items that we buy there.  From the front line medical workers, to the car mechanics.  We can be grateful for all of those people and things.

When we feel grateful, in Chinese Medicine, our heart fills with happiness and joy arrives. A healthy heart is a very important thing to have, so modifying your emotions can sometimes help to bring your body to a healthier state over time.  The Pandemic has been going on for months now and its time to check in and bring some control back to how you are feeling.  You can choose to see the brighter side of things, and be filled with gratitude.

Once you've achieved the awareness of what is truly important during these times, keep a journal, track your emotions.  Would you rather feel fearful, or grateful, can you overcome the fear with thought, are your worries calmed down with ease, or does it need extra help.  It is ok to find extra help at these times, again, your emotions can shape your physical health, and we want you to be less fearful, worried, and scared, and more rational, thoughtful, and grateful.  Understanding is another term to be, and become as we reach more and more days towards the coming of Summer.

If you feel like you are having trouble converting your fears, worries and anxieties into more healthy emotions, consider trying an Acupuncture treatment in person, or an Acupressure Telemedicine meeting.  The goal of these meetings will be to help bring relaxation and calm thoughts to where there isn't, and help build a buffer so that you feel more supported as you go along with your days during these times.  To learn more and to sign up for a meeting please visit www.vififywellnessatavenues.com/acupuncture

Do you have aches and pains?

Has Shelter in Place brought you more discomfort?

Fear causes our body to naturally tense up, and without enough stretching, and physical activity, one can experience muscle and tendon aches and pains. Drinking plenty of water can help, but so can Acupressure.  Acupressure is a specific type of body massage that can be self done with a guide, another person.  It is the study of using over 365 acupressure points on the body to help alleviate physical aches, pains, and health issues over a period of time.  One session of acupressure can bring a calming effect to a person.  Multiple sessions once a week can bring strong and longer lasting results.  Our Acupuncturist Jennifer Saferstein M.S., L.Ac., A.P. is offering new Acupressure Telemedicine sessions that aim towards helping you in your home, overcome aches and pains with your help.  They are easy and enjoyable 20 minute meetings on a HIPPA compliant virtual platform. We've made them affordable so that you can try one, and or sign up for a series of them to build lasting effects.

Fibromyalgia is a diagnosis for body aches and fatigue that have no known origin or visual signs. The pain is very much something real, and affects millions of people around the world.  The pain varies at times from dull aches to strong sharp pains in the muscle areas of the body.  This pain leads to fatigue that can last a month or longer if the Fibromyalgia is in a flare up.

Acupuncture and Acupressure are very helpful with pain management and energy replenishment.  It is wonderful when one finally reaches a healing tool that can help! You are not alone. Fibromyalgia is a diagnosis, but does not define the individual, remember that you are a person, and getting proper pain management treatments can bring you back.

If you have Fibromyalgia, or know of someone who does, trying Acupuncture with Jennifer Saferstein M.S., L.Ac., A.P., at Vivify Wellness at Avenues may be the right choice. She also hosts Acupressure Telemedicine treatments if the office is closed due to COVID19, or it is too hard to travel to an office. Exercise In The Spring!

The word spring inspires us to spring up and do something. After the long Winter here in North East Ohio, Spring shows us a way out of the cold and into the awakening of warmth. Our jackets change, the buds on the trees appear, and the early flowers show up. As the wood awakens, the wood element brings us to the energy of organization.  Organization needs energy and we find that working out helps with the new found abundance of work to do.

There are numerous ways one can exercise, from middle school gym stretches, aerobics, to running and biking. Yoga and breathing exercises are another way to exercise! The main thing to focus on is getting your body pumping, blood moving and breathing heavier.  A little sweat helps too! Exercising in the Spring is a great thing to do.

To manage body pain, if you have it, consider doing a Telehealth/Telemedicine session with Jennifer Saferstein M.S., L.Ac..  These sessions includes a guided self-acupressure massage with breathing techniques. They are only 20 minutes, so they are easy to fit into your day, and cost an affordable $40.00. The better
you feel the better the season of Spring is, and the following seasons to come! Please visit www.vivifywellnessatavenues.com/acupuncture to schedule an appointment.
