Pain makes us stop and think about our body. Many pain killers numb and can unsteady a person - "don't operate heavy machinery", have other side effects such as digestive imbalances and more. In Chinese Medicine we treat pain and the person so they stay grounded in their body, mind and spirit with clarity as their stagnation is cleared. Chinese and Ayurvedic herbs that treat pain aim at removing stagnation, bringing nourishment to the area and relaxation. Pain is a signal to stop and pay attention to your body. It can mean different things, from an injury at the area to a referred pain from an organ function problem. It is important to stop the action that led to the pain and seek out treatment that can help you understand where the pain is coming from and what you need to strengthen in your system to help relieve the pain and prevent it from reoccurring. From a repeated strain showing that there is a possible Liver Blood Deficiency leading to weak tendons to muscle weakness showing a possible Spleen Qi Deficiency, Chinese Medicines allow us to fine tune the body as it heals at many different levels. This may include hands on treatments such as Acupuncture or herbal oils to nutrition and lifestyle adjustments. When we heal at multiple levels our mind, body and spirit smile.

Be well.

Pain is a very difficult feeling to deal with.I have had many painful experiences that I could share with you . Some of these changing my life eternally. One experience would be when I was in the army, and going through the hell referred to as basic training. It was a very trying experience, both mentally and physically

Hi, Where as physical pain will eventually go away, emotional hurt will always be lurking under the surface. When people are suffering emotional pain they resort to drastic measures, such as taking their own lives.

Tip if stressed out from pain, count to three out loud with every door opening and closing throughout the day for three days. Be there, just making room for more awareness and time in a different direction than the aches, pain, and emotional pain. Also looking up old or new music. Be in with fun light hearted feelings with the music. Third tip, write in a paper journal. Keep on writing!

If ever feeling suicidal, don’t. Stop, and don’t. Call a hotline, spend time researching online hotlines. They can be supportive. Mention it to your doctor. But don’t, just don’t. Critically evaluate the view that pain is merely a response to a painful stimulus.   Pain Essay: unit 3 There are various definitions of pain. The most commonly agreed upon seems to be “an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience arising from actual or potential tissue damage or described in terms of such damage” The most appropriate definition of pain within clinical practice was suggested by Margo . His definition was ‘whatever the experiencing person says it is, existing whenever he says it does’ Pain is an abhorrent feeling that is transported to the brain by sensory neurons
